The Eligius Homes Company was founded in 1986 by Peter Karassik who is the current company president. Peter named the company after Saint Eligius who is the Patron Saint of Craftsman, with the idea that it would set a high standard of ethics and top quality craftsmanship.

Peter Karassik is a graduate of the Civil Engineering School of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon his graduation in 1974, Peter began his engineering career with Turner Construction Company, a renowned national building organization. Here Peter worked for 10 years as a field superintendent and then entered the Turner Construction's Executive Training program where he worked in all facets of building construction: field engineering, contract sales, purchasing, cost contracting, etc. He was involved in construction of

some of Boston's most well known and prestigious buildings such as The John F. Kennedy Museum, The Bank Boston Building, The Shawmut Bank Building and several others in and around the Boston area.

Peter left Turner Construction in 1986 to start his own building company in the suburbs surrounding the Boston area. It was at this time that The Eligius Homes Company was founded in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Peter resided in Concord and began building high-end custom homes for some of Concord's most prominent residents. Eligius Homes also founded several neighborhood communities in the area. Peter T. Karassik, President and Contract/Buildings Operation Manager, personally coordinates all of the details with the help from his excellent staff. Eligius is truly a custom builder.
