The Eligius Homes Company was founded in 1988 by Peter Karassik; the current company president. Peter named the company after Saint Eligius who is the patron Saint of Craftsman, with the idea that it would set a high standard of ethics and top quality craftsmanship. Over these 20+ years, Eligius Homes has been consistently revered as the premiere source in the Boston, Mass area for luxury home design and construction.Peter Karassik is a graduate of the Civil Engineering School of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon his graduation in 1974, Peter began his engineering career with Turner Construction Company, a renowned national building organization. For 10 years he was a field superintendent, then entered the Turner Construction's Executive Training program where he worked in all facets of building construction: field engineering, contract sales, purchasing, cost contracting, etc.
Peter has been involved with some of Boston's most well known and prestigious buildings such as The John F. Kennedy Library, The Bank Boston Building, The Shawmut Bank Building and several others in and around the Boston area.
Boston Custom Homes
In 1988 Peter left Turner Construction to pursue his dream in the residential home building business. It was at that time that The Eligius Homes Company was founded in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Residing in Concord at the time, Karassik began building custom homes for some of Concord's most prominent residents and founded some of the most exclusive subdivisions in the area. The business grew quickly and Eligius Homes is now known as one of the largest luxury residential builders in the Boston area.Today, they are most known for their top quality construction, impeccable attention to detail and meticulous finishwork. They have been featured regularly in the areas fine home and design publications.
